Indian Tourism In Coming Years


Here are some of the factors that will contribute to the growth of the Indian tourism industry in the coming years.

India has rich culture and tradition, we have different languages, cuisines, fairs and festivals. Historically we have famous forts and monuments and various natural attractions. Moreover Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is taking initiative for the promotion of tourism and some states have started various activities and events for attracting the foreign and domestic tourists. In Tehri state government has started water based adventure activities.

Swadesh Darshan Scheme Is a central government scheme launched In 2014-15 by the Ministry of Tourism and culture for the theme based circuits, another scheme is Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive. This scheme will focus on spiritual and religious tourist’s places in India. In addition every state government is paying attention on increasing the amenities and facilities for attracting the foreign and domestic tourists.

After covid -19 tourism sector in India has increased drastically. Take for example in Uttrakhand, famous tourist’s destinations like; Nainital, Mussoorie were packed with tourists, hotels had 100 percent occupancy, and they have received good revenue.

Many foreign and domestic tourists’ visits to Rajasthan, as there are lot of forts and palaces.Tamilnadu is the most visited tourist destination.

It means in the coming years tourism in India will improve and our foreign exchange reserve will increase. But we must take care about the environment.
